What is Baraw Sugbo?
 

Baraw Sugbo is a distinct Filipino martial art that concentrates on defending against knife attacks or any short weapon. Due to the versatility of knives and their potential danger, this style was specifically created to offer secure solutions using only the hands. For generations, the Ceniza family has preserved and cultivated this system, which Grand Master Eduardo Ceniza now shares in Cebu Island and through seminars worldwide. The practical approach of this system has been adopted by military institutions and private security companies, among others.

What you can learn?

 

Baraw Sugbo is a four-level system that offers practical responses against fully committed knife attacks. This system that enhance reflexes and prepares individuals to face potential danger.  You will also develop the ability to recognize and avoid unsafe situations. ​ This system can be seamlessly integrated with other martial arts, and regular practice can enhance confidence in one's ability to handle threats.

Brief about me

 

I have been teaching martial arts for more than 20 years. I am a qualified instructor who trained with GM Eduardo Ceniza directly and Master Willy Panal. My teaching approach emphasizes readiness by combining risk management and hard skills. Currently, I am offering private classes in Tauranga, New Zealand.
